Got Snow???

Well, we had our fourth snow storm this weekend! The boys had a snow day on Friday in anticipation of the storm. It started snowing around noon but didn't start to stick until about 4 o'clock or so. It snowed until about 6 o'clock on Saturday and very heavily at times. In the end it was only about 16 inches of new snow...we started with 3 inches left over from last weekend....but it was very wet and heavy snow. Our other snows were big and fluffy but this one was much wetter. It is great snowman snow. I want to get out and make a snowman but the kids aren't interested...in fact I think they want me to build one so that they can destroy it. Boo!

This was taken last weekend at Dorsey Park. Its a pretty steep hill and I was afraid that it would be too fast for the kids but it wasn't icy and was just barely packed so it was pretty perfect!

We ventured out into the snow on Saturday afternoon when the storm was winding down.

I measured 19 inches in our yard...but about 3 inches were leftover from the last snow!

We found out that our neighbors have a little hill in their backyard so the boys went sledding there on Sunday. It was just right and by the time they were done, they had it packed down pretty good!

Today I think we are taking the boys back to Dorsey Park for more sledding. I don't know when they'll get back to school. We are supposed to get 3 to 5 inches of rain/sleet/snow on Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. So, the kids could potentially be out of school until Thursday! Too bad we already had winter break! The kids already have at least one snow day to make up at the end of the year. How many more will they have???
